Welcome to Eder Homes, formally known as Mitch Eder Construction Ltd. We are a small residential homes building company that specialize in new Homes, Decking, Foundations and ICF Construction.
In Assoication with Megaform, we now offer ICF (Insulated concrete formwork) constructed homes. ICF provides more warmth, quietness and safety for you and your family. ICF walls are 280 mm thick compared with your conventional 90mm thick timber walls. Our walls have 60mm thick polystyrene edges that are filled with 150mm of solid concrete and steel. Internal walls are generally constructed from timber but ICF walls can be used if your looking to limit any sound entering from neighbour rooms.
We can also build you a conventional timber home, but will suggest the use of 140mm external timber frames to allow for thicker insulation to be installed and a warmer home. MAX-Raft is also our preferred foundation design due to its thermal properties.

Eder Homes is a full service building construction company based in Christchurch & Central Otago. In association with Megaform, we specialise in constructing homes out of ICF (Insulated Concrete Form-work).

Background:
Mitch (Owner):
- Studied at Otago and Canterbury University from 2010-2014 towards a degree in Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship
- Completed a construction course at SIT in Christchurch in 2014
- Completed a building apprenticeship through BCITO in 2017 to become a Qualified Builder
- Became a licensed builder in 2018
Braden (Foreman):
- Worked in Forestry from 2010-2014
- Completed his building apprenticeship from BCITO in 2019 to become a Qualified Builder.

After finding the perfect section, we can offer you a total build contract from the foundation up. This includes your house and everthing in it, driveways, landscaping construction and even irrigation if required.
DECKING & PERGOLAS

LANDSCAPING / RAISED GARDEN BEDS
Raised garden beds & concrete patio areas can turn your tattered backyard into a summer paradise for entertaining. Natural hardwood macrocarpa planter boxes provide the perfect backdrop for any area and are great for growing your veges in as there's no risk of any treatments getting into your food!

We can building you a variety of foundations depending on your house design. These include:
